Our nonprofit, located in Salt Lake City, helps you find discount art supplies through the resale of thrifted arts & crafts materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill. We also offer affordable community classes on a variety of art and science topics.

What is a Creative Reuse Center?
A creative reuse center facilitates a cycle of reusable materials in its community. The cycle could start in your grandma’s garage, to our warehouse, to someone’s science project, then donated back to Clever Octopus in the form of scraps. Rinse and repeat! (Now with new COVID-19 approved steps.)
Communities We Serve
Artists
We offer accessible art, skill and repair-based workshops to artists both on-site and through community outreach. We also sell a variety of affordable arts and crafts supplies for artists of every skill level. Check out the entrepreneurship opportunities in the Creative Reuse Market, where artists sell their work made of recycled materials.
Youth
We host youth workshops throughout the Salt Lake Valley, including on-site programs, take-home art activities, summer camps and more.
Educators
At Clever Octopus, teachers can get free memberships, mini-grants, classroom STEAM kits and special teacher sales.
Businesses
We help local businesses and manufacturers through waste diversion partnerships. Qualifying nonprofits also benefit from our mini-grants for material supplies and the nonprofit rewards program.
